Every now and then, I step out of character and report on topics other than my big foot. So when I read the headline “Man wins shoe-lover contest with video.” I was compelled to share this article with my Big Foot Chicas.
Apparently, Alex Josselyn from Otawa, Cananda is a shoe-aholic.
“Women are more inclined that way,” says 20-year-old Alex Josselyn, this year’s Ottawa winner of Town Shoes’ Shoe-aholic Search. “I guess that’s the way society is, but men should also feel comfortable taking an interest in shoes.”
The Shoe-aholic contest is an annual event that sees Town Shoes stores across the country scour their clientele for the most extreme footwear fanatic. While stores have simple ballots for contestants to describe their fascination with shoes, the contest looks for creativity in the way of collages, photographs, even short films. I couldn’t agree more! The issue that I have is finding a size 10/11 shoe that is not only pretty but also comfortable. I can always find shoes in my size that are comfortable, the problem is the shoe isn’t necessarily pretty. In the two years I’ve owned www.auxpiedsde.com, I’ve struggled to find shoes that are both pretty and comfortable in my size. Creating this blog forced me to really start searching for vendors everywhere!
If you haven’t noticed, the usual fall colors have been replaced with various shades of plum. I went shopping on Saturday to find a brown dress. I coudn’t find anything brown! All I saw was a sea of plum. With that said, today’s flat comes from the one and only Sigerson Morrison. Belle
